The Thanthrik Pariharas are mainly in the form of
1. Homa (the offering to the particular Devatha in Agni(fire)
The materials used for the homa is different according to the devatha(God), for which it is performed, the purpose for which it is performed etc.
Pariharas are Sathwika, Rajasa and Thamasa based on the result expected from them.
The Sathwika karma is that which is done for the blessing
The Rajasa karma is done for triumph over the enemey
The Thamasa karma or black art is for the destruction and quick results.
And the karmas are again classified as
Vasya- To attract, a person or in business, customers or for any purpose.
Marana- To cause hurt
Vidweshana- To cause enemity between two or more people.
Sthambhana- To prevent somebody from performing certain actions.
Utchadana- Casting away all evils a person has been affected from.
These can be practically done by doing Homa, or wearing or giving Yanthra,
Some Poojas or rituals etc.,
